Narrow Gap Submerged Arc Welding Butting of Thick-Walled Cylinder Shell

Cross-welding column and booms and the welding roller frame are used to complete longitudinal and circumferential surfacing of internal wall of large cylinder shell, and the narrow gap welding of vertical circumferential weld inside and outside cylinder shell. DIG's narrow gap submerged arc welding system is a set of closed-loop submerged arc welding system that can accurately realize narrow welding butting.The minimum end of I-type slope submerged arc welding can be narrow to 18mm with the depth of the welding torch reaching 350mm. When the plate thickness is 50mm, the welding efficiency of I-type slope submerged arc welding is 0.5 times higher than that of ordinary submerged arc welding. When the plate thickness reaches 200mm, the efficiency can be increased by at least 1.5 times.

Using hydraulic mechanical method to roll over or travelling crane to roll over depends on budget and layout for which we have relatively rich experience.   Solution of Both-Side Molding by Single-Side Welding on Medium-Thick Plates The application of FCB or FAB method in the construction of medium-thick plates can accomplish double-side molding by single-side welding. In the construction of thick plate, it is also a good choice. Compared with double-sided welding, double-side molding by single-side welding requires no turning process; however, it usually requires a maintenance pit to repair the reverse side which requires sufficient negotiation and communication between both parties.
