On April 19, 2022, leaders of Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard visited the production site to provide guidance and inspection on the "Block Robot Welding Equipment" manufactured by DIG, and proposed improvement guidance suggestions for the equipment. The intelligent robot welding system recently completed the construction task of underwater submerged pipe block welding between Shen Zhen and Zhong Shan. Today. We successfully embarked on a new mission - ship assembly and welding.
The Block Robot Welding Equipment adopts a large double beam gantry structure, which can easily handle the welding of large components through a height of 6m and a width of 16m. Each gantry is equipped with 2 sets of intelligent robot welding systems, each with 3 external axes, allowing for flexible welding of various complex paths.
The equipment is used for intelligent welding of large open steel components, especially in the intelligent welding of block assembly components in ship construction. It performs particularly well and can complete the welding of related structures including block longitudinal partitions, transverse partitions, intermediate assembly rib plates, etc.
The intelligent robot is based on design software data interface and data parsing technology. Through interface data parsing technology, the structural model in the 3D design software is restored, and the weld coordinates and process are automatically restored through weld data. Then, the welding data is calculated to drive the on-site execution mechanism for welding.
The robot system can automatically identify all welding seams and plan the welding sequence, ensuring that the robot can continuously weld along the optimal welding sequence. After the robot starts welding, the entire component is welded without the need for manual intervention.
The system has obstacle avoidance function and can continue to complete welding after crossing obstacles, which plays a crucial role in the crossing and path optimization of the reinforcement plate structure.
